Sound : Mantra 

Learn the placement of the Sanskrit alphabet sound sites in the body utilising touch.

The sounds are tools for bringing to light the 'inner shape'. Drawing and gathering power from different parts of the body through the subtle currents, chakras and central nadi (pathway of sound) 

Karana: the causal factor

The Shadow Yoga system utilises moving Karana forms as a tool for the body, mind & breath cultivation.

Karana is the folding and unfolding of the body's 6 limbs in action with a bodily stance in a low or high squat, a gesture (mudra) with the hands and movements of the feet. Swaying, stepping and circling transitions link one Karana to another.

Consistent practice of the Karana forms brings to life the rhythmic life currents hidden in the body and can lead to a peaceful space within.

Ka: space
Ra: fire, transformation
Ana: posture, shape, breathing

A beautiful practice cultivating a moving meditation that takes one's mind to a still place for the seated Asana practice and seated meditation.

There are 6 different moving Karana forms. The retreat will focus on one Karana form that is appropriate for the group.

All accommodation is based on king single beds in a shared room at
Blue Water Sanctuary 156 Blue Water Heights, Tutukaka 0173

There are 6 beds inside the house:
Bedroom 1 : 2 x King single 
Bedroom 2 : 4 x King single
Nikau glamping tent - 2 x King single bed

All inclusive investment - 5 nights shared accommodation, 2 Yoga classes per day & plant based meals at Blue Water Sanctuary.
In house bedroom -  $1,450
Nikau Glamping -  $1,400

The retreat will start on Sunday 19th April with Yoga at 4pm and conclude Friday 24th with Yoga from 7-9am, breakfast then departure.
50% deposit is required on booking to secure your bed and room option. Full payment by April 6th.

Arrival: 2pm Sun 21st - Yoga 3.30-5.30 pm - Dinner 6.00pm

Mon- Fri 22-25th - Yoga 7-9am & 3.30-5.30pm

Saturday 26th - Yoga 7-9am. Breakfast, departure.

All levels of Yoga experience are welcome to attend.
